Cleto
The name of the wine is a tribute to Anacleto Fini, who strongly worked towards creating and operating our business since 1988.
The Cleto wine is a clear and fragrant wine, which reflects a second meaning of the name: according to some sources it derives from the ancient greek Anenkletos, meaning “faultless, irreproachable”, underlining the lack of defects and of any harshness, which we find a very fitting description for this wine.
The wine is produced from a careful selection in the vineyard of the best Grechetto grape bunches, checked one by one before being picked by hand and placed in boxes. The grapes are subjected to destemming and soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine is then kept maturing on fine lees in cement tanks for 7 months. It is then aged in the bottle.
In 2017, 2694 bottles were produced.
Libente
name of the wine comes from the union of the two winds that blow with opposite intents on our vineyards, the Libeccio and the Ponente which, blowing from the sea, bring the sea breeze between our vines.
The name of the wine recalls the term libare (to drink), which resonates in our ears thanks to the Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi
“Libiamo, libiamo ne’ lieti calici,
che la bellezza infiora;
e la fuggevol’ ora
s’inebrii a voluttà”
The wine comes from a careful selection in the vineyard of the best bunches of malvasia puntinata, checked one by one before being hand-picked and placed in boxes. The grapes are then destemmed and cooled, going through o pre-fermentative cold maceration, at the end of which soft pressing takes place. Fermentation in steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine is then kept maturing on fine lees in cement tanks for 7 months. It is then aged in the bottle.
In 2017, 2598 bottles were produced.
